How many cloth nappies do I need? This would be the most frequently asked question by parents venturing into the world of modern cloth nappies.
For those of us who have developed an addiction for cute patterns and soft and cuddly fabrics the question becomes not how many do I need but how many is too many!
If you are just starting out then this is a rough guide to how many cloth nappies you need. Keep in mind it all depends on how often you want to wash nappies and whether you have access to a dryer in wet & cold weather.
For a newborn you are going to be doing more nappy changes in the early days and will need 8-10 cloth nappies per day. After a couple of months this will go down to 6-8 cloth nappies per day.
Say you want to wash every second day, you are going to use an average of 16 cloth nappies with 8 nappies to use on wash day. I usually recommend a starting cloth nappy stash of 24, you will use more in the early days but this will settle down.
One-Size Nappies are a great way to build your early cloth nappy stash as they will fit your baby from birth to toddler.
